Enjoy a Sense of Community at Ten Trails

Enjoy a Sense of Community at Ten Trails

In today’s busy, modern society, it’s more and more difficult to connect in person with our friends and neighbors. Ten Trails’ developer created the community with a goal in mind to build a place that was desirable to live, and where residents could feel a connection to their community and to each other. With this goal in mind, the community’s many amenities, events and parks were carefully designed to bring together residents and the public in gorgeous spaces inspired by nature.

Ten Trails Community Events

Ten Trails hosts seasonal community events that bring together residents and the public. These include Sunset Markets in our Civic Park featuring vendor booths, food trucks, live music, and kids’ activities, as well as movie nights in the park, concerts in the park, holiday events, and more.

Ten Trails Community Amenities

Our Civic Park performance pavilion is the site of musical performances and more at our summer Hometown Social events, which also bring together both residents and the public. Ten Trails has community fire pits located throughout the residential areas and parks where neighbors enjoy gathering in the evenings. Our sports courts are popular meeting spaces for neighborhood kids, and our newly constructed pea patches are soon to be a favorite gathering spot for residents.

Participate in Local Activities and Organizations

The City of Black Diamond has many festivals and events to bring residents together like the annual Labor Day’s Festival, Black Diamond Miner’s Day, and Hometown Christmas. Residents of Ten Trails are also welcomed to get involved with their new hometown by volunteering at the city’s historic Museum Depot, or the Black Diamond Community Center. www.TenTrails.com 360.469.4043

Five Reasons to Check out the Green River Gorge this Year | Ten Trails News and Blog

Five Reasons to Check out the Green River Gorge this Year | Ten Trails News and Blog

Ten Trails residents enjoy an active lifestyle close to outdoor activities and area recreational destinations like the nearby Green River Gorge. Read more to find out five reasons you should explore this local conservation site this year!

Search for Local Wildlife

The Green River Gorge is home to abundant wildlife like deer, elk, and black bear. Bald eagles have also been spotted in the area, and Chinook salmon use the Green River as their spawning grounds in the fall.

Hike the Hanging Gardens Trail

The 150-foot white sandstone cliffs of the Green River Gorge are home to native plants and some small cedar trees which cling to the cliff’s edge and give the Hanging Gardens Trail its name. Access to the trail is tricky as the trailhead is unmarked. Hikers can look for the red gate on the north side of Enumclaw/Franklin Road SE and take a short walk down the road to a primitive trail that leads down to the Green River and offers views of the cliff gardens.

Go Tubing on the Green River

In the summer months, the Green River is a popular tubing site for locals who are looking for some relief from the heat. Popular tubing routes are from Flaming Geyser Park to the SR18 Bridge (2.5 hours) or from Flaming Geyser to Whitney Bridge (45 minutes.) Be sure to wear a life vest and keep an eye out for local kayakers who are also known to spend time navigating these portions of the river.

View the Maid of the Mist Falls

Also commonly known as the “Green River Gorge Falls” the 50-foot Maid of the Mist waterfall is clearly visible with just a short hike from the historic Franklin Ghost Town trail. The trail is part of privately-owned land, but the public is welcome to visit the falls and tour the Franklin Ghost Town trail for a $5 fee.

Search for Fossils and Petrified Wood

The Green River has been known to wash up the ancient remains of plant and wildlife and visitors to the Green River Gorge have come across fossils and petrified wood while strolling the riverbanks. Bring the kids and let them have a blast playing archaeologist for the day while hunting for prehistoric treasures. 360.469.4043 www.TenTrails.com

Ten Trails’ community bike lanes make cycling safer and a convenient and healthy way to get around. Parks and Green Space

Outdoor activities are a great way to get fit in the new year! Ten Trails is committed to providing open spaces for residents and the public to enjoy, including many parks and green spaces that are ideal for outdoor recreation and fitness. At a minimum, there will be approximately 500 acres of open space within the community when it is complete. This will be comprised of wetlands, buffers, critical areas, natural areas, both passive and active park spaces and trails.

Walking/Jogging Paths at Ten Trails

When development has finished, Ten Trails will have at least ten distinctly different trails for residents to use for walking, biking, fitness and more! Currently, our paved trails connect the different sections of the neighborhood and nature trails weave through forested areas of the community. Enjoy walking or running through Ten Trails while admiring the beautiful views of nature and the mountains.

Community Sports

If your preference is to stay active through playing sports, then Ten Trails has plenty to offer! The community’s large Civic Park has basketball hoops, a sports court, two bocce ball courts and large event lawn that is perfect for a game of kickball or touch football with the neighbors.

Nearby Outdoor Recreation

Ten Trails is conveniently located near some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest outdoor recreation sites like Black Diamond Open Space, Crystal Mountain Resort, the Cascade Mountain range, the Issaquah Alps and Mount Rainier National Park. If you haven’t checked out our Civic Park yet, you need to do so soon! This 1.2-acre park is located in the heart of the community and boasts a number of great amenities for residents and the public to enjoy. The Civic Park also serves as the hub of all activity during our many community events!

Award-Winning Design

This November, the Washington Society for Landscape Architects (WASLA) recognized the landscape designers of the Civic Park at Ten Trails with an award of merit for excellent design work. Jurors for the award noted the park’s wide range of play equipment and social amenities like the event lawn, stage, restrooms, and picnic area.

Playground Equipment

The park’s unique and thoughtful design is evident when visiting its playground area. Two long slides are built into a landscaped hillside, which also features a meandering sloped gravel pathway flanked by native flowering plants. A large play structure is complimented by a jungle gym, todder play house, and basket swing.

Sports Courts

Our Civic Park has a sports court with two basketball hoops and an extra supply of basketballs for visitors to use. Adjacent to the sports court are two bocce ball courts complete with sets of balls and an instructional sign so that those who are new to the sport can learn to enjoy it.

Event Space

A striking outdoor pavilion serves as both a stage for events held in the community as well as the screen area for summer movie nights in the park. The entire pavilion is surrounded by a large, grassy event lawn which doubles as extra play space for neighborhood team sports when not used for community events. 360.469.4043 www.TenTrails.com

Meet Jiaxin Ji and Xidan Yuan, New Neighbors at Ten Trails!

Meet Jiaxin Ji and Xidan Yuan, New Neighbors at Ten Trails!

Ten Trails is happy to introduce new residents, Jiaxin Ji and Xidan Yuan! These first-time home buyers moved into the community in September and are loving life in the new Magnolia floorplan home from Lennar!

Better Commute and Quality of Life

Jiaxin works at Boeing and used to commute to his workplace from University Place near Tacoma. “The traffic going past the Tacoma Dome can be terrible,” he says. “This commute from Ten Trails is much easier.” The couple also notes that they love that Ten Trails is in a quiet, wooded setting, but still close to nearby shopping plazas for day-to-day needs.

Lennar Single Family Homes at Ten Trails

When home shopping in the summer, the couple really loved a few of the many single-family home options at Ten Trails but ultimately decided to go with the Magnolia plan by Lennar. The builder’s “everything’s included” philosophy, the home’s price point and the great layout really appealed to them and fit their needs.

Building Community

Jiaxin and Xidan have enjoyed getting to know their immediate neighbors and look forward to attending some of the community events in the future and meeting even more new residents. “We live close to a park and our neighbors have a fire in the park’s firepit almost every week,” Jiaxin says. “It has been nice getting acquainted with everyone.” Welcome to the community, Jiaxin and Xiadan! We are so happy you chose Ten Trails for Your New Hometown! 360.469.4043 www.TenTrails.com

Meet Arie DeQuilettes, New Home Consultant for Lennar at Ten Trails

Meet Arie DeQuilettes, New Home Consultant for Lennar at Ten Trails

Meet Arie DeQuilettes, one of the amazing team members you’ll meet when you visit the new master-planned community of Ten Trails in Black Diamond, WA! As one of the newer team members on Lennar’s Ten Trails Team, Arie brings tons of energy and enthusiasm to his role in helping customers select their dream home. Arie was raised in the Bothell area, one of four kids and the only boy among three sisters. Growing up, Arie spent a lot of time with his father who was a homebuilder and electrician. He has fond memories of days spent on jobsites. “I had a huge interest in construction and homebuilding from an early age,” says Arie. “As I got older, it seemed pretty clear that my career path should be in the real estate industry in the new construction side of home sales.”

Bringing Together a Community at Ten Trails in Black Diamond

Arie landed a job as a new home consultant for Lennar in April 2018, and joined the sales team at Ten Trails in the summer of 2019. “I love working on site at Ten Trails,” says Arie. “The strong sense of community that residents have here is something really unique and special. The community events really bring residents together, and there’s this feeling of living in a small town yet we are still so close to everything that Seattle and Tacoma have to offer.”

“Everything’s Included” with New Homes by Lennar at Ten Trails

Arie cites the value customers get when buying a home from Lennar as one of the many reasons to purchase from this award-winning, national builder. “Our homes offer so many extras that are included in the purchase price like the blinds and appliances. At Ten Trails, homebuyers also get a Wi-Fi certified home combined with the community’s one-gig speed internet. That’s a really powerful combination for today’s tech-savvy families.” Arie also notes that Lennar is heavily focused on the customer experience when purchasing a home. “We want to make sure the homebuyer has the best experience possible from the first time they tour our model homes to when they are settled in their new place. Our sales, construction and customer care teams all work together to ensure the process goes smoothly, and our goal is to create a lifelong relationship with our clients.”
